my junior year of high school,
I’d come home from school, take a nap, procrastinate a bit, then listen to the IHOP Prayer Room all night while I did my homework.
Good times.
Praise the Father. Praise the Son. Praise the Spirit, Three-in-one.
A note of thanks.

In the two years I’ve been on Tumblr, it’s become so much more meaningful than that. It’s become a genuine Christian community.
It’s absolutely wild how much you guys have changed my life. There have been times where I’ve felt incredibly alone...
jessicacollins13 asked: You were a Jonas Brothers fangirl!? :D

You can love us more in a moment Than other lovers could in a lifetime So we’re gonna go where no one’s gone before We’re gonna do what no one’s done before We will be laid-down lovers

I’ve been meaning to write a really long, eloquent post about complacency in time with God for a while, but I’m just going to tell it like it is.
Nothing compares to spending time in God’s presence and learning from the Word of God.
Not blogging about Him, not talking about Him, not meaning to pray and running out of time in the day. Nothing.
You’re only cheating...

Mom: I had this boy in college ask me out to dinner once, and then he told me we were gonna dine and dash at the end
Me: *blank stares*
Mom: I had to pay the bill myself
Me: *more blank stares*
Mom: I didn't go out with him again
Me: Yeah good decision
Mom: He was cute but he had no scruples

prayer --
An infant from my dad’s church passed away this afternoon from a viral infection. She was barely a month old.
Please pray for the parents Ignatius and Destinee. Pray that they are comforted in the knowledge that there sweet baby girl is in heaven.
On a side note, my dad was in the hospital room visiting the family when Nevaeh took a turn for the worst, and he was the one to tell the...

What ladies should never have to do:
dillondean:

themindofazombie:
Open doors.
Drive.
Pay for dinner.
Ask to go on a date.
Buy herself flowers.
Ask if she looks pretty. (You should already have told her.)
Walk through a puddle.
Carry something.
Get yelled at.
Get hit.
Just a few pointers, if he isn’t treating you like this, leave. If you don’t treat her like this, start.

okay so those of you who know me know that my grandfather lives in Jamaica and has made a name for himself there as a businessman. I’ve always known he was successful, but I only get to see him once or twice a year so we aren’t very close.
so he just finished building an elementary school in Jamaica for underprivileged children, and it’s been all over the news there. I decided...
